Bristol and daytrips

We spent 3 days in Bristol with some of my relitives who treat us so well. I fell so spoiled staying there. The good thing about Bristol is that it is so central for a lot of day trips. We went into Bath for the day to see the Roman baths and the Bath Abbey (which was closed due to university cerimonies so we will just have to go back). My dad's cousin Ann told us a good bay to see the Roman Baths for free. Usually it is £9.50 each to go in but if you go into the Pump room (which is now a pretty fancy restaurant) you can walk right accross the room and go out the back way and there is a balcony that overlooks one of the baths. It was great advice and saved us a lot of money. The Royal Crescent we didn't get to see either but we are going to be going back soon.

Another trip we did was Cleveden which has a great walk along the beach to a pier where you can dontate money and get your name put on the peir. We found many names from my family who have had there names on there for many years.

We gave stonehenge a miss this time but we will be going back to bristol in a week and doing Salisbury, Stonehenge, and Avery next week. Bill we might even see you there!! It will be pretty close.

9.50 for a bath, no wonder the British are so dirty! :P

Did you know that the last flight of the Concorde landed in the city of Filton (no, not Milton) which is just outside Bristol, two years ago? I bet you didn't.

Filton is place in side of Bristol.
