Well like we said in our last post we woke up early in Amsterdam and took the tram into the city centre. We arrived at the Anne Frank house just before 9:00 am. Megan got in for a reallz cheap price as a under 17 year old which saved us 4 euro. Inside the house it was extreamly sad to learn about the way the 8 of them had to live in hiding for just over 2 years until one day somebody leaked the information of their hideout and they were sent to Auchwitz anyway. We did however pick up a cheap paperback on Anne's Diary which we have only just started reading. We were there for about and hour and a half before we took off to have a look at the red light district. It was even more sleezy and dirty than I could have imagined. Worth a walk through just to know what its like. For those who are interested I do have photos.
We were back at the campsite to check out for 12:00 and it was a nice 3.5 hour drive to Cologne (koln) on one road. The E35 took us straight there. It was nice however to be in a country where people understand how to drive on a highway. They only use the outside lanes to drive unlike Canadians on the 401.
Anyways we are currently in Cologne and it hasn't stopped raining since we got here. It rained all night and has only turned into a light drizzle. Oh well we went to see the Cathedral and a few other small churches anyway. The Cathedral (Dom) is incredible. I can;t even begin to descibe the size. It has I think 139 spires in it. I guess thats what we could expect though since it took over 600 years to build. Anyways tomorrow we are off to Berlin which looks to be about a 6 hour drive. Talk to you all soon.

Hey kids! Welcome to Germany :)
Sorry about the weather. It's quite possibly the worst summer weather they've had here in at least 20 years. It looks like it will be warming up on wednesday though, and should be sunny and 27 degrees on saturday for anna's birthday. Write us an email to get directions just in case.
Oh yeah, and I can't believe you just gave away those bags of grass.
Dude......
Urrghhhh....
Would've been perfect for the party on saturday!
Damn you. Oh well whatever. See you guys in a few days :)
Hiya. Glad you guys are having a good time and made it into the Anne Frank house. Did you like the campsite in Cologne? Watch out for the mean lady at the one in Berlin.
We're just going for a drink with Katie and her boyfriend in London before heading back to Gee-Gee's ... without Jasmine. So sad.
Have a good time. Talk to you soon.

Hey guys
Thanks for signing the Blog. It means a lot to us to log on where we are and read all your entries. We do have a funny\crazy story to tell once we get more time. I will give you a hint though. It envolves a homeless man, our car, and the fact that we couldn't get to our campsite........keep posting and I will post the story in a few days.
Sorry Curt but we had no use for it and it came as a gift anyways....
We are in Berlin at the moment and off to Prague tomorrow. See you in a few days
No worries guys. Hope you're enjoying Berlin. See you guys Saturday in Weiden!
Hi Phil and Megan.
Hope you have dried out from your soaking in Cologne and that your bedding didn't get drenched too. That would have been really miserable.
Glad to hear the trip is going well. Hope you like Prague as much as Dawn, Brad and I did. Can't wait to read about your homeless man. He's not travelling with you too is he??????????????
I saw a driver on the Autobahn the other day with a British Columbia license plate in his rear window. Pretty cool eh? I tried to wave but he was watching the road. I'm sure running into another Canadian on the highway would've caused him to crash his car... or shit his pants, who knows.
Ok , Cant wait to hear all your stories. Phil you can top up the phone using a Credit Card, by calling the service # from the phone. I guess this constitutes a valid use of Amx. Go ahead man
Mum and I are off to Tampa in December so you will have the house to yourself when you get back. Then we are going to Africa for a Birthday Party at a Bush camp.. This all came up today.
Speak to you soon Guys, Keep writing.
