Germany.. mm the land of chocolate

The sun was down by the time we got there. We were beat from driving through the Czech Republic and just wanted a hotel. Ironically enough the hotel we looked at first was 1 street away from Anna's place and we had absolutly no idea. For 33€ we found a place with no front desk, just a machine that gave u a access code to get into the room (had to pay by credit card) Well we finally get upstairs going on around 12am now, open our door with the code, and Voialla! there before us were a nice bunk bed set, a highway view (noise included) and bed sheets from the army days.. I have learned.. You definatly get what You pay for. However, I must say that it was nice to finally get to sleep in a nice clean bed after nothing but camping for a while now.

After a well rested sleep, a shower and fresh set of clothes, we were set to find the town, contact Curt and have a well deserved 2 year anniversary dinner to make up for the day before. Regensburg is beautiful. The river that runs through is wonderful, and the people are alot more friendly then the Northerners.

Anna held her birthday in Weiden, We met some really interesting people there, and everyone had a blast. She had people from every which way attending her birthday. Americans, Germans, Canadians and more. We might even be able to get hooked up with some Kraft dinner.

In other news, Phil spraint his ankle. Tripped down some steps in the dark.. looked like someone stuffed a baseball in his leg.. it was really groce.. im looking after him though so dont worry.

well take care guys
Phil and Megan

Hi guys,

Glad you weren't affected by the floods at all. It looked pretty crazy on television.

Phil, well done spraining your ankle. I used to think that if I hadn't had Brad to travel with, I would have considered travelling with you. I'm glad I didn't now (sorry Megan) - you attract trouble!

Anyway, hope you guys are having a good time. Have a great time when you go back to Prague and down to Italy.

I go back to Canada on Tuesday! Crazy! Am spending Labour Day weekend with mum and dad on the boat.

Talk to you both soon.
Love,
Dawn

Phil,

Still accident prone as Ever? Send us an email or call man. Glad to hear that you survived the great flood there. Has the Ankle altered your plans at all?

Take care both of you

Hey kids
Ohh Phil, I would comment on the ankle, but your family's beaten me to it, so I'll just say... ha ha. No not really, I hope you are being nursed back to good health as we speak!
I got a new car yesterday, the corsica is on it's way to somewhere... better? the wrecking yard! I now have a 2001 sunfire! hahaha, we'll call it the new age puke mobile, but no one had better puke in it!
Anyways, hope to catch you online soon!

Hey guys

Don't worry its just a minor sprain and I am walking and driving around as usual and we are off to Prague tomorrow for 2 full days of walking. It didn't hurt to much either since I had a few drinks in me....

Stewy good choice on the sunfire although I would have thought you would have gone with Miltons almost rich car instead......hahaha. hope the new job is going well. They must be paying you too much if you can afford a 2001. Take care and talk to you soon.

Don't worry guys the sprain didn't look as bad as he made it sound. It reminded me of the old Alien Leg that Phil got from skating back in the day, but it wasn't nearly as bad. They took the weekend to drive to the Czech Republic again to visit Prague, so hopefully they survived that little excursion...
