After this we walked around the campus through the Quad, Christ Church, Picture Gallery, and Tom Tower. Tom Tower was designed by Sir Christopher Wren who is one of my favorite Architects and was a student at Christ College. He also designed St. Paul’s Cathedral in London and the monument for the great fire of London. A few other famous people studied here including Albert Einstein, John Locke, and 13 British Prime Ministers. After the college we spent more time walking around the city seeing sites like the old city wall, Bridge of Sighs, Bodleian Library, and Radcliffe Camera which is one of the cities most photographed buildings. It is a library housing science books that was built in 1748 but is closed to the public. Of course no trip anywhere in England would be complete without a pint in a pub so we rested our feet while drinking a pint of bitter before making our way back to the car. There are a lot of smaller churches and sites in Oxford but those I won't mention all of them as the blog will get way to long. Guess you will just have to come and see it for yourself. Cheers.

Wow man that's one of the places Julie and I will have to hit for sure. Thanks for the CD's, they are awesome, Julie especially likes the 5th one with all the cover songs. Hope to speak with you soon bud.
Hey there. BRATISLAVA Phil. I really loved all the great pics that are on this post. Like Kris says it's somewhere we'll have to visit for ourselves. As for Gallipeau goes punk #5 I'm on my knees and I bow down to the genious that put that fantastic piece of work together. The whole CD had me smiling and moving around the whole time it was on. Did I mention that you put my favorite song on there too? That and I LOVE the amazing grace on the bagpipes goes punk. So once again BRATISLAVA! Can't wait for #6.
Julie
Looks a lot like Cambridge. Was there any punting?
Kris and Julie - Glad you guys enjoyed the 5th installment in the series. Wait until you see the cover for it. It is quite possibly the best cover yet. I will reprint all the covers out and perhaps put them into a box set at some point. BRATISLAVA!!!
Paul - Yea it was a lot like Cambridge, although I prefer Cambridge to Oxford. They both have there plus' but Cambridge has the water running behind the colleges where Oxford's is on the outskirts of the town. There is punting in Oxford but it was cold and really windy so we didn't go.
I guess it's called the Bridge of Sighs because that's the sound people make when they see how small it is, thinking it's called the Bridge of Size. No? Ok, back to bed.
Ahh .. looks awesome. The day we went to Oxford, the dining hall was closed. Great to see pics of it at least though .. very cool!
Well 008, you certainly provided a great pictorial tour of Oxford. Did you get chance to brush up on a little Danish! while you were there. (Name the Movie)
So get this! Booked the Bus for the Airport last night for an early start. The agent looked at me sternly and actually said "IF YOU ARE LATE NO MORE TOUR BUS FOR YOU" Gota luv it.
Also hit the random jackpot in Macau... $2000.00....(HK) So about $300.00 .
Bottoms up club - HK Name the movie.
